Say hello to one of my fellow FWinterns, dear friend, and Jack in the Box buddy. I read her post earlier today and it put the biggest smile on my face. I miss her so incredibly much. I second everything she says (or “co-sign” as we used to say in the office).
In light of reading what she learned at FW, I decided to post some things I learned. Here are a few:
NOW, onto Kate’s wonderful post:
Okay, so I may have stolen this title from a poster in my kindergarten classroom. And Kindergarten does teach you gems such as sharing is caring and play well with others, but I think I learned a tiny bit more at my internship at Falling Whistles. And I know I don’t know everything about life, but…
I logged into my Tumblr this evening (after a million years, might I add) and looked in my Drafts. Lo and behold, I had a little gem sitting there, waiting to be published. I wrote this during the first week of my summer internship at Falling Whistles. I had so much fun reading it. Oh, how I miss LA, Falling Whistles, and all the amazing people that became like family to me.
Anywho, I totally neglected this blog. Shame on me. Oh well, I have lots of ideas for this darling place and hope to share much more in the coming year. 2012, I’m ready for you! If there are any readers out there in the interweb world, Hiya. Sorry for being the worst blogger in the universe. I promise to make it up to you. That is all. Now enjoy reading a mini recap of the first day I had in LA. Seems like so long ago.
DAY 1
So after a 6 hour plane ride that was full of watching Community Season 1 episodes on my iPad, attempting to fall asleep and failing miserably, and being totally jealous of the adorable couple that was seated next to me, I finally arrived in LA yesterday afternoon. I was welcomed with standing by baggage claim for about an hour only to finally realize that my bag wasn’t coming through anytime soon. Apparently it was sent on the flight from Miami that left directly after mine, so I had to wait for it to get in. That kind of sucked, but at least it wasn’t lost! Luckily, I was welcomed by two of my wonderful, fellow interns - Kate & Addie. Bless their souls for waiting outside of the airport for me for about an hour as I tried to sort out my luggage situation. After getting picked up it was kind of a whirlwind of things that followed. We immediately went to get some Starbucks (which was sweet, because I needed some caffeine in my system), met up with 3 of the other interns and Yves, walked around downtown LA, went to a bar, went to a rooftop lounge, people watched, and then finally ended up at where I would call my home for the next 2 months or so - the loft.
The loft is SWEET. For real, it’s S
Haha, that made me laugh. Clearly I stopped writing quite abruptly. I miss that loft. Miss those people. Ugh, I want to be back in LA sometime soon. Anyway, that’s all.
Until later. I will be back with good things, I promise.

What’s up tumblrrrrrrr! How have you been? I’ve been doing great. Busy, but great. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to post much on here besides the pictures I’ve taken on my phone because there literally has been no time (also, there’s no internet in the loft, so the time I would have, I have no internet connection and I’d also rather spend it sleeping).
So I’m currently at this awesome place called Novel Cafe with a couple interns (Caitlin pictured above, she’s the best & is obsessed with all things marketing. It makes me smile big time when she starts getting excited about social media and marketing - you can tell she truly loves it). So I had some delicious breakfast, I’m drinking some delicious coffee, and enjoying the sweet, sweet internet connection this awesome cafe has to offer. I’ll post soon with a day to day recap of what I’ve been up to. Prepare for a looooooooong post. I’ve never had such jam packed days. They’ve been totally sweet though. But alas, it is time for me to go and officially start my day back at the office. Talk to you all soon and I miss all of your faces back at home. Love you all!
